Recycling Furniture and Hallway Transformation

I’ve got some exciting news! Recently, I’ve decided to start my own YouTube channel!! I’ve caught the DIY bug again and I have been working tirelessly on making my house a haven. The transformation has made such an impact on the overall feel of the home and I have a long list of things I still want to transform. The channel is still a baby but I’m hoping to record the process of updating our home with you! I would love it if you could show some love and subscribe to the channel.

We have been in desperate need of a pantry solution. We had some old, barely standing, shelves that just didn’t work for the space. My parents were remodeling their kitchen and were going to toss a perfectly good pantry, which I coudn’’t pass up. The original height would have fit into the space, however, we have a lower threshold into the closet that forced us to shave 2 inches off the top of the pantry. We had to do some reinforcing but you can hardly tell.

The finish of the cabinets was a warm oak, which didn’t match the overall style of my recent renovations, so I had to give it a makeover. What I thought would take a day turned into a four-day project. It’s annoying how I have constantly underestimated how long projects will actually take. You can see the results in the video below. What do you think of the finished look?
